This chef or baker pie bird stands 5 1/2 inches tall. There is a vent on his left hand and mouth. I've seen one pie bird like similar to this one with a crimper in his left hand and measuring spoons hanging from his right. Stamped into the back lower edge of his coat is "Pat Pend". Very nice Hall's grease jar with lid in the Autumn Leaf pattern. Made for Jewel Tea by Hall. It is 5 inches in diameter and approximately 3 1/4 inches in height. Moderate amount of gold loss on border around edge of lid. Bottom of jar reads" Hall's Superior, tested and approved by Mary Dunbar Jewel Homemakers Institute, quality kitchenware".
